Balayage and babylights are two different ways of bringing light to your hair, and the choice depends on the effect you're after.
Balayage
It's freehand, hand-painted lightening. The light starts softly at the root and builds towards the ends, for a sun-kissed effect that shows most on the lengths. It suits anyone who wants a visible yet natural change, and it grows out well: regrowth barely shows.
Babylights
Ultra-fine micro-strands spread across the whole head, like the light the sun leaves on children's hair. The effect is softer and more even: they brighten your natural color with no harsh lines.
In short
- You want contrast and bright ends: balayage.
- You want soft, diffused light: babylights.
- Can't decide: they can be combined too.
We make the final choice together during your consultation, looking at your base color, your cut and how you wear your hair every day.
